Module 1: Basic course

This module includes 17 training units (1,5 days) with theory and practice elements of the K-Active Taping.

In theory you will be informed about history and effects. In the practical part you learn the basic techniques of the application and how problem areas in the human body can be recognized.

Theoretical part

  • history of Kinesiologic Taping
  • basics of philosophy (Japanese and European influences)
  • material properties of K-Active Tapes and differences to the classic tape
  • basic techniques of K-Active Taping
    (technique of muscle, ligament, fascia and correction)
  • introduction to the Tensegrity Model, Anatomy Trains and Body Reading
  • example of use

Practical part

  • application of screening and muscle test as well as skin displacements for the holistic cognition of the problem areas in the human body
  • learning of basic techniques of Kinesiologic Taping based on disease patterns often occurring in the practice
  • examination of the right application by means of muscle and screening tests
    (documentation of treatment results already possible directly after application)
  • introduction to the expanding treatment possibilities with K-Active Tape PreCuts

Module 2: Advanced course

This module includes 17 training units (1,5 days) with theory and practice elements of the K-Active Taping.

Screening and muscle tests as well as basic techniques of K-Active Taping are supplemented and enlarged by complementary application versions. Besides new muscle applications you will be taught in correction and special techniques for the application of particular tape versions.

Theoretical part

  • repetition and deepening of screening and muscle tests
  • repetition and deepening of basic techniques of K-Active Taping
  • correction techniques

Practical part

  • repetition and deepening of screening and muscle tests
  • new muscle techniques
  • correction techniques
  • diverse tape applications like nerves tape, lymph tape and reflective tapes
  • combination of different applications among selected disease patterns i.a. of sports physiotherapy, orthopaedics and paediatrics

Module 3: Refresher

This voluntary module includes 11 training units (1,0 day) with theory and practice elements of the K-Active Taping and shall be deemed to exam preparation to pass the exam in module 4 (certification course) for the training level “Certified K-Active Therapist”.

In this course the participants that have already passed the basic and advanced course will be taught in the latest knowledge of K-Active Taping. Additionally their traditional knowledge will be refreshed and adequately deepened.

An optimal exam preparation to pass the certificated course.

Theoretical and practical part

  • repetition and refreshment of already acquired knowledge of the basic and advanced course
  • update from the present knowledge of K-Active Taping
  • recognition of disease patterns of patients locally
  • diagnostics and tape application of patients locally
  • questioning and clarification of current therapeutical events

Module 4: Certification course

This module includes 17 training units (1,5 days) with theory and practice elements of the K-Active Taping. The course completes the training to become “Certified K-Active Therapist” with a written examination (90 minutes)
